Our Story
About the Waggoner Building
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt
The Waggoner Building opened in December 1965 as the headquarters for Waggoner Oil Company, an Amoco Oil distributor owned and operated by my grandparents, John and Ruby Waggoner. It was the company's home for over thirty years and gave a livelihood to many members of our community.
I have deep family ties to this building. I spent my childhood here after school, running through its halls while my grandparents ran the business. In 2015, my wife and I purchased and remodeled it to bring life back to a place that had meant so much to me growing up. Shortly after we reopened, we learned we were expecting our first child — the beginning of a new generation's story in the building.
Today the Waggoner Building is home to a growing community of professional tenants, offering private, all-inclusive office space in the heart of downtown South Carthage. I'd love for your business to be part of its next chapter.
